Ostrich Garden

I went back to Brasov for a few days this spring and my family decided for a day trip to the county of Covasna. This a place surrounded by mountains and it's still quite unknown to the public. This place is around 1h drive from Brasov.

My parents knew about this garden recently opened, a family business so we booked us in for some lunch.

We started with a visit of the garden and the lady running the business told us a lot about the life of ostriches: how they live, how they breed, how they like to have fun, where the business idea came from. It all stared with one bird thinking that it will just be part of the family but the next thought was to add more birds to the family and create something innovative. At the moment, we only have a few places like this in Romania.

We could see the ostriches running around and dancing for fun and running from a corner to another. Beautiful birds... funny creatures ;)))

The business is run by a young family and all the food is home made and it included: ostrich soup, ostrich stew, chocolate cake, traditional alcoholic drinks, natural apple juice (homemade by one of the local partners).

You can find the Garden here: https://www.facebook.com/p/Gradina-cu-Struti-Intorsura-Buzăului-100083284625515/?locale=ro_RO and you contact them on Facebook.

This article is not sponsored. I just liked the place and the vibe.

If you want to know more about the area, feel free to contact me.
